These pieces reflect on the intuition and adaptation of movement of barn swallows when they emerge from their roosting spot, typically a chimney. When I was in graduation school, an abandoned brick mill had a long smokestack that housed 1000s of these birds that would emerge every night at dusk to feed on bugs. The image has always stuck with me and inspired the way I approached drawing. Through flow and intuition.
