For me, beeswax is all about texture and translucency. Once I discovered how to build up surfaces and apply color, I integrated beeswax into nearly every surface I was working with. In these pieces on paper, the wax is the underlying structure and drawing to which color is applied. In other pieces, it's merely there to add history and transparency to the layers beneath.
