These are digitally rendered drawings in which my ink and paper drawings were scanned, digitally layered and colorized. There is so much freedom in digital software to really play with layers, outlines and shadows to create a depth that would take me a lifetime to replicate with ink and paint. I don't work in this way anymore, once my boys were old enough for me to get back into the "messy" side of my studio I have had paint on my hands and haven't looked back. Although I am now taking these drawings and turning them into repeat patterns for the textile industry, so don't be surprised if you see these out and about in the world.
